The purple or violet coloured Amethyst of the quartz family is perhaps the most easily found quartz. With its prism formations and earthy rock exterior, it is a perfect stone for your work/study desk. It helps in clearing your mind and focus on the task. It will relax you, clarify your thoughts and open your mind. Wether that be a single big rock or cluster of a few small ones. It will help you to stay positive and focused.
ROSE QUARTZ

Another beauty of the quartz family is rose quartz. It is normally recommended to those who are in need of serenity and tranquility in their life. It has the vibes that attract love, wether that be self love or in a relationship. Rose quartz, which is the usually found in soft pink, is great for people who are getting over any trauma or depression. It also helps in opening heart to accept the love and if you do put each on the floor, around the four corners of your bed, it is said to promote love in your life.
You may not believe in them and surely they do not change things in a jiffy. But whenever you look at it, it would help you to think of the reason and motivate you towards your goal. Rose quartz is said to give very comforting energy. After all this is the stone which is often used in charms for attracting love.

BLACK TOURMALINE

Next time you think of nimboo-mirchi, do think of the black tourmaline. It is a great crystal to have in your home to protect you from any negative vibes. As it is said to be a negativity transmuter. It normally comes in opaque liquorice hue and like other stones, it is rough too. Many people wear it as a talisman as it helps as a shield against anxiety and evil energies. A perfect stone to have around the entrance of your home as it will keep you away from any negative energy coming in.
CELESTITE

The Celestite is a crystal found in many different colours. Place them in kid’s room or babies nursery, as it gives out a soft energy. Useful in calming down the inhabitant of the room and promoting good sleep. Although if there is someone suffering from depression, this is a great stone to be used.

It is great if you have one in a meditation room or in the study of people who give speeches or are into marketing. A powerful healing stone, particularly for the throat chakra. Rishi suggests it to promote honesty and loyalty as well.
SELENITE

It is a stone of clarity unlike other. Selenite does not needs to be cleansed or charged. In fact Selenite is used to cleanse other stones. A perfect stone for the family room, as it cleanses the aura and removes negative energy. Selenite is the ancient greek word for moon and comes in an ice cube kind of form. It is usually very delicate and should not be dropped.
Being an Indian we have a culture of believing in different stones. However, it is a personal belief on how far do these stones help us in achieving our goals or safe guarding us.
