Kirit Kiran is a documentary photographer and filmmaker who loves mobilephone-based photography. A Goldsmiths graduate, he has been working with independent studios and filmmakers, while he plans setting up his own eponymous visual studio. An avid traveller, he turns his lens to capture moments, mayhem and the magic that the urban conundrum around us inspires. Also, he loves drama, one that is present and yet conspicuous by its absence. Here is where he seeks entry in, or rather intervenes in with his unassuming cell-phone camera, an object of stealth which surprises with the clarity achieved. The pure volition expressed and exercised, through image-making is fascinating for him.
