Our lives as designers are far from ordinary. What makes it so is the plethora of challenges we face every day, be it in creative pursuits or the more tangible kind. Even then, one hardly ever gets a call with such an endearing request like the one from Isha Arora.

Isha contacted Design Extraordinaire to reimagine a kid’s boutique, namely PNK, a space with bespoke apparel for little women aged anywhere from a few months all the way up to the age of ten. Needless to say, we were happy to oblige!

PNK, located in the southeastern part of Delhi, was brought to life in March of 2017. The boutique, as presented, is a union between sophistication and youthful playfulness. Interiors, heavily inspired by Isha’s travels and aesthetic sensibilities, made use of colours like lemonade pink and eggshell white. To add to the ethereal charm, we used materials like glossy brass metal, leatherette and rubber wood. Special attention was paid to the entrance of the store including the staircase landing and signage. A foldable cart was added to the interiors to make it more engaging for the young clients. Finally, the cherry on this sundae is our special changing room design inspired by our little ballerinas and their tutus. Take a look at the store pictures below and let us know what do you think.

As the old adage goes, God is in the details, we are certain we gave PNK and its clientele enough ways to appreciate the intricacies of this collaboration. To see more of design process pictures follow us on Instagram or like us on Facebook.
