Now something I always recommend the clients is not to go for cove lighting if you do not have enough resources to keep it clean. Since many designers and builders are quick to give false ceiling that has cove or nook where they put up colourful LED strip or tubes to light up the false ceiling. As beautiful and tempting this may seem but it is not an easy place to clean. With time there is dust and webs that start filling in. So until you have the resources to keep those cove clean I would strongly suggest to not have them in your design theme.

A bathroom perhaps is one of the areas that should be easiest to clean. They like other rooms come in all shapes and sizes but would you really want recessed ceiling in your small bathroom too? Undoubtedly the lighting and the fan placement has a lot to do with the false ceiling as well. So more than spending money on the bathroom false ceiling what I would suggest is spending money on the scones/ceiling hanging lamps around the mirror. But having said that, false ceiling if designed well, can be a great help in the bathroom. As you can hide your mini geyser in it, if at all you may not have any place otherwise. As it normally is an eye sore to any beautiful bathroom space. So plan it well with your designer and get not just an easy to clean but also a smartly designed option.

There has been a trend of using wooden panels for the outdoor ceiling for some time now. Specially in builder made houses. What you just need to take care while getting this done is the quality of wooden plank and how well have the corners been sealed for any insects to not be able to get inside. Now if you do have a good height ceiling, then flaunt it. It does not has to be cove lit all the times. Go classic or if modern interior is what you want, then geometric with POP pattern. It will surely make your space look unique like no other. Although do ensure you have good Interior designing team as this takes time and not all contractors can do it perfectly. This can go well in spaces like your living or dinning room or basically any space that is expansive. This is almost like having a fifth wall to play with. If done right, compliments are guaranteed.
